Mr. Pradeep M. Paranjpe,has represented Mumbai University at the All India Inter-University Chess Tournament as captain of the team in December 1994. He has also represented Maharashtra State in the National 'B' Chess Championship held at Madras in 1995. He is a FIDE rated player and also a National Chess Arbiter.
Started in, April 2001 with the aim of imparting chess education to students through a well-planned syllabus. The syllabus is taught in such a way that the studens develop a love for the game and also get prepared for competitive chess. The syllabus covers both, the aesthetic as well as the competitive aspect of the game. The students learn to appreciate chess as a science, art & a sport.
